PCCI Supports ERC In Addressing PH Energy Security, Power Prices

Mabuhay Energy Corporation (MECO) and the other members of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)'s Energy and Power Committee met with Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chairperson Monalisa Dimalanta to discuss the business sector's concerns on energy security and competitive power rates. The courtesy call aimed to foster collaboration and prepare for the upcoming Power Summit on June 19, 2024, organized by the PCCI.

Mabuhay Energy, represented by COO and Head of Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory Jacqueline Castillo, works with the PCCI and ERC to ensure the streamlining of passed-on costs from generators to contestable customers which should include maximizing renewable energy benefits for the end-users, ultimately leading to competitive pricing in the retail sector. These contestable customers, often large energy users, play a crucial role in driving the country's economy.

MECO’s participation in this discussion as a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) of the PCCI showcases our commitment to addressing power industry concerns and promoting a reliable and affordable electricity supply for inclusive economic growth for the country.
